Well, Horton is our home on the road. Horton is a 2004 Tiffin Phaeton 40 RH and he’s where we live while we travel the country.
The story is that Christine and I, after spending 12 years or so working in the software industry decided that we wanted to take a little bit of a break. We wanted to see a little more of the world and spend some extended time doing the things we love instead of only doing those things during our always too short vacations.
Since we have two somewhat elderly dogs that we didn’t intend to leave behind we decided to limit our travels to US / Canada / Mexico and thought the best way to do that would be in an RV. Enter Horton, our personal pachyderm. After months of browsing Craigslist, trolling forums, going to dealers and shows we finally found Horton and brought him home.
HortonsTravels is where we will tell our stories and share our adventures. We’ll post our pictures and tell about what exciting new hiking trails we’ve found. We’ll share our favorite and our least favorite camping spots. We’ll bring you along as we try to learn how to go from a “normal” life of living in a stationary home with stable jobs to living in a home on wheels.
