It definitely sounds like it's struggling everytime we run it on the inverter. Wish we could update to a PSW inverter, but just not in the $$ cards right now. By the way don't know if you have a modified sine-wave or pure sine-wave inverter, but if you have a MSW you may want to be careful about using the microwave on the inverter.
