We have a Magnum 2000 MSW inverter and our microwave is a monster Sharp R-1874. It definitely sounds like it's struggling everytime we run it on the inverter. Wish we could update to a PSW inverter, but just not in the $$ cards right now.

Those tilt bars look MUCHO professional. So happy your solar is rocking. Can't believe you got 46 AMPS!!!!! That's awesome.

By the way don't know if you have a modified sine-wave or pure sine-wave inverter, but if you have a MSW you may want to be careful about using the microwave on the inverter. We just fried our microwave/convection for the 2nd time in 2 years and I have no doubt it's because of the MSW inverter.

Hey, how about that, directly across the river from where we are now! Pretty cool! We haven't seen any wild wacky weed but maybe we need to take some more hikes. Hope all is well down there in the warmth!

We love it, makes life on the road and especially off the beaten path so much easier and more enjoyable.

Yup, payoff comes eventually, but it isn't just about the money. Toss a stick for Rain a few times for us!

Yay! You guys got solar. And, holy cow, you got a lot! Soon, you'll wonder how it is that you used live without it. Bonus: You'll be on the road longer which means we have more chances to meet up with ya!

I totally agree that solar isn't cost effective if you plan on only being on the road for a year. For us, after being on the road three years, it was an easy choice. We boondock every single day of the year. The panel saved us enough cash to pay for itself in one year. The controller will take another 6 months. The batteries were installed in the first month that we owned the camper.

I am a big believer in solar and am always trying to get folks to "come to the light side".

PS. Rain misses Horton.
